    Real Estate? No Way!

11695000_1446455122343926_7695161158149124315_nReal Estate? Ha! That probably would have been my response a year and a half  ago if someone asked me if I ever thought about a career in real estate. Working at a bank in a cubicle, I was certain there was more for me than being micro managed at an 8-5 with the exact same task everyday. I met up with Kelly at a Salsarita’s for lunch and since then, my life has been chaos… in the best possible way.

Working in real estate definitely has its up and downs. It’s like an emotional roller coaster. I’ve had to learn to be a realtor, teacher and psychiatrist. It has been fun to say the least. Actually, I never thought real estate would be much fun. Well, I was wrong. It is probably the most fun job I have ever had. I get to meet some really awesome people. Also, some very interesting people.

Real Estate is all about building and keeping relationships. I get to help people make their dreams of home ownership come true. It is such a great feeling handing over the keys to their new home and watching their faces light up. The excitement of the entire process and the end result of achieving the American dream is something I look forward to everyday. Usually, it leads to great friendships with people I otherwise would have never met. To me, these two reasons are what I love most about this career.

The Team. Wow! Talking about new friends and relationships, we have definitely found that here. What started out with just a few of us has now become 11. I did not know Kelly or anyone else on the team before I started this career. It now has become more like a family and just like every family, we have our fun, differences, laughs and frustrations. We all learn together, grow together and have fun together. I feel very blessed to be a part of such a great team of people that I can call friends.

So, Real Estate? YES! After putting in just over a year, I couldn’t be happier. Sometimes when an opportunity comes, you just have to take it and run with it. No matter what anyone else thinks or maybe the fear of the unknown is what you are scared of, don’t let it hold you back. I am very happy and blessed with the opportunity I was given. I look forward to the expansion of our team and everything it has in store for all of us.
